Caldera Artist in Residence

Oh, WOW. This week I received the great news that my application for a Caldera Artist in Residence has been accepted. For the month of January I will explore taking my series Amateur Physics into the world of 3D. The plan is to create new images or recreate existing images from the series as holograms or produce them using a 3D printer–turning photographs into sculptures.

This morning I was informed that I am a 2013 Caldera Golden Spot Awardee. The award comes with a stipend. The money awarded is due to a grant from The Ford Family Foundation. It will go toward the purchase of an industrial-grade 3D printer.

I am so grateful to the people at Caldera and the Ford Family Foundation for this opportunity and their recognition.
